SUMMARY:The Feminist Tea on the Summit and Pact for the Future
DESCRIPTION:This closed event will build on the work Fòs Feminista did alongside Akina Mama wa Afrika and the Women’s Major Group at the Nairobi UN Civil Society Conference to convene and coordinate feminist advocates and organizations around joint SOTF advocacy. The event will be an informal briefing and strategy session ahead of the Summit for feminist advocates to plan possible advocacy points and actions for during and after SOTF. It will be an informal and feminist space where tea and refreshments will be served.

DESCRIPTION:This official side event aims to be a space for member states and feminist civil society to reflect and dialogue on the meaning behind full\, equal\, meaningful\, and inclusive civil society engagement at the UN. The event will examine the central of the role of existing feminist civil society engagement mechanisms with a specific focus on accountability and policy implementation. Finally\, participants will provide recommendations for the strengthening and engagement of feminist multistakeholder participation\, specifically regarding the implementation of all Summit of the Future outcome documents.
