After decades of piecemeal progress, including historic gains in women\u2019s health and educational outcomes, COVID-19 and a lack of prioritization have contributed to backsliding in these and various other areas that have undermined economic opportunity, threatened security, and had cascading impacts on societies writ large. As the international community gathers for a seminal UNGA featuring the once-in-a-generation Summit of the Future, how can policymakers and stakeholders ensure that gender remains at the center of discussions, rather than being included as an afterthought? And how can innovative programs and emerging technologies unlock opportunity and access for women around the world?
