{"id":284,"date":"2024-09-13T04:26:03","date_gmt":"2024-09-13T04:26:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/srhrinsight.com\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=284"},"modified":"2024-09-13T04:26:03","modified_gmt":"2024-09-13T04:26:03","slug":"partnerships-of-the-future-the-role-of-the-private-sector-in-advancing-womens-health-and-well-being","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/srhrinsight.com\/fr\/event\/partnerships-of-the-future-the-role-of-the-private-sector-in-advancing-womens-health-and-well-being\/","title":{"rendered":"Partnerships of the Future: The Role of the Private Sector in Advancing Women\u2019s Health and Well-being"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the three decades following the landmark\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unfpa.org\/icpd\">International Conference on Population and Development<\/a>, remarkable gains have been made in the quest for sexual and reproductive health and rights for all, yet many women continue to be left behind.<\/p>\n<p>According to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2024\/08\/womens-health-gap-healthcare\/#:~:text=Women%20spend%2025%25%20more%20of,certain%20conditions%20compared%20to%20men.\">recent report<\/a>\u00a0by the World Economic Forum, women spend 25 percent more time in poor health relative to men. Further, approximately 190 million women work in global supply chains, and their needs \u2013 ranging from health care to protection from harassment and violence \u2013 are often neglected.<\/p>\n<p>As we mark the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/summit-of-the-future\">Summit of the Future<\/a>\u00a0this year, promoting gender equality and empowering and protecting all women and girls remain essential prerequisites to achieving the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unfpa.org\/sdg\">Sustainable Development Goals<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>UNFPA has sought out a range of partnerships, including in the private sector, as well as financial approaches and other creative ways to achieve this mandate.
