In line with the priorities of the United Nations and the language proposals in the Pact for the Future (especially Chapter 4 on Youth & Future Generations), the overarching vision of the Youth Action Day sessions (20 September, Friday) will be to strengthen meaningful youth engagement in policymaking and decision-making processes related to the implementation of the Pact for the Future (and annexes).
This session seeks to galvanize action and explore innovative approaches that empower adolescent girls and young women at all levels – from global multilateral platforms to local community initiatives. It will build upon the momentum generated by the ICPD30 Cotonou Youth Action Agenda, the Girls Pact for the Future, the ECOSOC Voices of Youth Report, the Young Feminist Manifesto, and the Manifesto for MYE for youth with disabilities, among other key youth priorities.
